Data Sales Opt-Out Policy

Corenox Embedded Systems LLC (“we,” “us,” “our,” or the “Company”) operates www.corenox.net (the “Site”) via the Shopify platform. This Data Sales Opt-Out Policy (“Policy”) outlines your rights to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, consistent with the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and, where applicable, the GDPR. This Policy is incorporated into our Privacy Policy.

Article 1: Definitions

1.1 Personal Information

“Personal Information” means data that identifies or relates to an individual as defined by TDPSA (Tex. Bus. & Com. Code § 541.001) and CCPA (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.140), including (without limitation) name, email address, or purchase history.

1.2 Sale or Sharing

“Sale” or “Sharing” is disclosure of Personal Information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration (e.g., targeted advertising) under TDPSA/CCPA. Disclosures necessary to provide our services (for example, to Shopify for order processing) are not included.

Article 2: Your Right to Opt Out

2.1 Opt-Out Rights

  • TDPSA: Texas residents may opt out of sale/sharing for targeted advertising or profiling (§ 541.051).
  • CCPA: California residents may opt out of the sale of personal information (§ 1798.120).
  • GDPR: EU residents may object to processing for direct marketing under Article 21.

2.2 Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate for exercising opt-out rights (no denial of services, different prices, or different levels of service), per TDPSA § 541.052 and CCPA § 1798.125.

Article 3: How to Opt Out

3.1 Opt-Out Methods

  • Online Form: Submit a request via our Data Opt-Out Form.
  • Email: Send an email to policies@corenox.net with subject “Data Sales Opt-Out Request,” including the name and email associated with your account, and a clear opt-out statement.
  • Footer Link: Use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the Site footer (required by CCPA/TDPSA).

3.3 Verification

We may verify identity (e.g., email or order number). Verification is completed within ten (10) business days, and we confirm receipt via email.

3.4 Processing Timeline

Opt-out requests are processed within fifteen (15) business days, per TDPSA § 541.051 and CCPA § 1798.130. You will receive confirmation of compliance by email.

Article 4: Third-Party Data Sharing

4.1 Limited Sharing

We do not sell Personal Information for monetary consideration. We may share data with service providers (e.g., Shopify for orders, Google Analytics for analytics) or for targeted advertising—activity that may constitute “sale” or “sharing” under TDPSA/CCPA—subject to your opt-out rights.

4.2 Shopify Platform

Certain Personal Information is shared with Shopify Inc. to process orders, payments, and shipping. See Shopify’s Privacy Policy: shopify.com/legal/privacy.

Article 5: International Compliance

5.1 GDPR

For EU residents, we honor GDPR rights to object to direct marketing (Art. 21) and, where applicable, to request deletion or restriction, subject to verification.

5.2 Other Jurisdictions

For customers in Canada, the UK, or other regions with data protection laws, we honor equivalent opt-out/objection rights as required by local law (e.g., UK Data Protection Act 2018).

  • Transparent disclosure of data sharing practices and opt-out options.
  • Secure processing aligned with PCI DSS and Shopify standards.
  • Adherence to TDPSA, CCPA, and GDPR where applicable.
